Individual concepts for groundwater sampling

A field study using BACTRAPsAccording to specific site parameters and contaminating compounds, the deployment of BACTRAPs (especially for PAK, high sensitivity detection of biodegradation, non-quantitative) or the monitoring of isotope enrichment in groundwater samples (mainly for BTEX, DNAPL, MTBE > 5 μg/L; quantitative) will be valuable a tool when assessing the extent of natural attenuation.

Individually-tailored isotope monitoring concepts are provided for the specific conditions of your site. We consider site development, hydrogeological characteristics and the extent of pollution. Sampling wells will be positioned at the plume source, along the centre flow line of groundwater and at the plume fringe. Possibly, a cost-efficient preliminary investigation of 6-10 wells will provide sufficient data to establish a MNA-regime. A detailed investigation however is recommended for high resolution assessments of natural attenuation processes. Follow-up examinations may be performed after several years to confirm that biodegradation processes are still active.
